Mark Drobny headed west for law school after graduating with a BA in political science and general studies in 1977. He earned his law degree in 1980 and his Master of Laws in 1981, both from the University of Pacific School of Law in Sacramento, California. In 1989 he founded Drobny Law Offices, Inc. The firm specializes in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, Business Planning, and Taxation, and has offices in Sacramento, Stockton, and San Ramon. Mark writes the “Ask the Expert” column on wills and trusts for McClatchy News and he has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Sacramento Superior Court’s Probate division for more than a decade. In his free time, he is very active in northern California charities, having served on the area boards of the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Boy Scouts, Sutter Hospitals Foundation, the Stanford Settlement, Sacramento SPCA, and St. Hope Academy. He has also served on the University of Pacific Law School’s Board of Trustees and California State University at Sacramento Board of Trustees. He is a frequent speaker on Estate Planning and has given over 1,000 presentations on this topic and others.
