Fields: Knoll's main research field is American Politics with a sub-specialization in public opinion and voting behavior. His primary focus is on race and politics, political psychology, and religion and politics. Knoll has secondary teaching interests in Political Philosophy, specifically American political thought, multiculturalism, and ancient and modern political theory.

 

Recent Awards: Dissertation Year Summer Fellowship for 2009, awarded by the University of Iowa Graduate College; Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award in 2008 awarded by the University of Iowa Council on Teaching.
